Paddle to Nisqually – The Landing

The start of the last week of ceremony in this year’s Canoe Journey took place today at the Port of Olympia in WA.

This year’s host, the Nisqually Tribe of Indians, enjoyed the largest turnout yet since the Canoe Journeys became an annual event with over 120 tribal nations represented.   After the landing, each tribe will make a presentation with song and dance to the host tribe in what is known as Protocol.
