DAPL Forces Evict Treaty Camp

The north camp, the winter camp, the treaty camp.   A camp set north of the main Oceti Sakowin camp, erected in the path of the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline, was meant to establish authority over treaty area unceded by the Great Sioux Nation.

DAPL forces, many armed with automatic rifles, police from several states supporting the Morton County Sheriff’s Office and National Guard Units all armed with ‘less than lethal weapons,’ all supported by military vehicles including an LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device) attacked the peaceful protectors, arresting close to 150 and pushing the rest south towards the main camp.

It was in unbelievable thing to witness in the United States of America and many questions from liberty groups will have to be answered in the days, weeks and months ahead.
