The water of life. Mni Wiconi. Yesterday, we saw the water give back. She became the protector of our heroes as they fled from the aggressive militia that sought to hurt them and arrest them.
“Inyan Wakan Kagapi Wakpa” – “River Where the Sacred Stones are Made”, or it’s colonial name, the Cannonball River thanked the protectors for months of prayer and love as it provided the perfect escape route across it’s frozen body.
Unci Maka (Grandmother Earth) joined in causing the aggressors to slip, slide and retreat.
Wopila tanka, Mni. You honor us.
